Gayle Moon Johnson

Gayle Moon Johnson, age 74, of Murrayville, GA passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Holmes Moon and Sara Emma Garner Moon. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband of thirteen years, George Johnson, Murrayville, GA; children, David and Lisa Fife, Murrayville, GA, Connie and Jeff Pruitt, Dahlonega, GA; step-children, Shannon Johnson, Lexington, KY, Travis Johnson, Irvine, TX, Sandra Johnson, San Antonio, TX, William and Carrie Johnson, Chesterfield, OH, Cory Johnson, Lexington, KY, and Whitney Johnson, Lexington, KY; seven grandchildren; five  great grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren: step-mother, Edna and Lamar Graves, Loganville, GA; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Emma and Bill Dixon, Loganville, GA, Mary and Johnny Hutchins, Lilburn, GA; one brother and sister-in-law, Perry and Carolyn Moon, Loganville, GA. Mrs. Johnson was born April 28, 1943 in Atlanta, GA. She was a 1961 graduate of South Gwinnett High School in Snellville, GA, and she was a retired media specialist for the Gwinnett County School System. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Stone Mountain, GA. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford, GA with Rev. Randy Roys officiating. A private family interment will be held at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Stone Mountain, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Flowers are accepted or memorial donations may be made to Samaritan Purse Franklin Graham Ministry in memory of Gayle M. Johnson.
