Arthur James “Jimmy” Robarts, age 71 of Carnesville, GA passed away Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017 at his residence.
Born in Tampa, FL on Oct. 11, 1946, he was the son of the late Merrill H. and Janie Jones Robarts. He worked for the last 20 years at Mt. Vernon Mills as a material handler, served our country as a Navy veteran in the Vietnam War, of the Baptist faith, and is preceded in death by brothers, Wayne Merrill Robarts and Patrick Allen Robarts.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Gayle Graham Robarts of the residence; sons and daughters-in-Law, Richard James and Maggie Robarts, Tampa, FL, Donald and Jennifer Robarts, Carnesville; sisters, Marlene Lundy, Tampa, FL, Mary Nell Puglisi, Spring Hill, FL, Lynne Shidler, Wesley Chapel, FL; grand-daughter, Kirsten Robarts; grand-sons, Joshua Robarts and Jeremy Robarts.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 am Monday, Oct. 16, 2017 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends 10 am-11 am Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the family to help with expenses.
