Mildred Holman Rainwater, age 84, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017. She was preceded is death by her husbands, Fred E. Rainwater and Charlie Burton Roberts; parents, Luther J. and Ida Partee Holman. Mrs. Rainwater is survived by son, Phillip Roberts, Flowery Branch, GA; step-daughters Jan (Jay) Whitlock, Madison, MS, Karen (Jim) Meeks, Dacula, GA; granddaughter, Stacey Roberts, Buford, GA; four step-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Holman Boyd, Woodland, AL, Agnes Holman Peacock, Dacula, GA, Brenda Holman, Montevello, AL, Linda (John) Spearman, Montevello, AL; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Rainwater was born on March 3, 1933 in Atlanta, GA. She was a graduate of Lakewood High School in Atlanta, GA, and she was retired from General Electric Company after fifteen years of service. Mrs. Rainwater was a member of Open Door Baptist Church, Flowery Branch. She was active in several churches in the metro Atlanta area including Celebration Church, Braselton, Tucker Church of God, Grant Park Congregational Holiness Church, East Point Congregational Holiness Church, Hebron Baptist Church, Dacula. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Edwards officiating. Interment will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Duluth, GA. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
