Jack O. Hulsey, 93, of Clermont, Ga., passed away October 8, 2017.
He was born August 19, 1924, in Cuthbert, GA to the late Homer A. and Ethel Farmer Hulsey. He had lived in Clermont since he was 7.
He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.
Jack loved to travel, garden, read and spend time with his family, especially family gatherings. He was a retired poultry farm owner, had co-owned a construction company and retired from Georgia Chair Company. He was a graduate and one of the last surviving members of Chattahoochee High School, Class of 1942.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Christine Smith Hulsey. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his siblings: Chester Hulsey, Maona May, Clara Taylor, Grady Hulsey, Fred Hulsey, Avis Weathersby, Thelma McMillan, Nelle Armour, Lent Hulsey, James Hulsey and Jean Long.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Duward and Martha Hulsey; son, Darrel Hulsey; granddaughter and husband, Hannah and Eric Shaw; great-granddaughter Sawyer Kate Shaw; great-grandson, Boston Shaw. He is also survived by his sister-in-laws; Raedelle Smith and Agnes Hulsey along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel. Interment will follow at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Wayne Grier and Rev. Drewery Loggins will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the funeral home.
