Audrey Holbrook Hulsey, age 87 of Mt. Airy, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017.
Born on January 15, 1930 in Turnerville, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Lois Yearwood Holbrook. Mrs. Hulsey was a homemaker and member of Hills Crossing Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, music, crocheting, and quilting.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Minuard F. Hulsey; brothers, Horace Holbrook, Harold Holbrook, Rev. Donald Holbrook, and Jack Holbrook; sisters, Joyce Payne and Louise Bowen.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and John Henzel of Royston and Edna and Joby McGahee of Hollywood; sons, Sammy Hulsey of Mt. Airy and Tim Hulsey of Toccoa; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry & Patti Hulsey of Toccoa; sister, Juanita Partin of Cleveland; grandchildren, Jake McGahee, Clayton McGahee, Joanna Roa, John Russell Henzel, Brian Hulsey, Curtis Hulsey, Blake Hulsey, and Clint Hulsey; great grandchildren, Joseph McGahee, Mitchell McGahee, and Gideon Roa; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Hills Crossing Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Singletary officiating. Interment will follow in Glade Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm on Tuesday.
