Mrs. Nobie Kellar Canady, age 75 of Highway 320 in Toccoa passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Ga.
A daughter of the late Lewis Terrell and Merle Brady Kellar, she was born September 21, 1942 in Stephens County, Georgia and lived all of her life in Stephens and Franklin Counties. She was a technician at Johnson and Johnson Company where she retired after many years of service. Mrs. Canady was a member at New Hope Baptist Church and loved her word search puzzles and watching Days of Our Lives. She also loved her family and cared for her sister, Louella on a daily basis. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Canady was preceded in death by a brother, O’Neil Kellar.
She is survived by her son, Tim Canady and his partner Jack Shelton both of Toccoa, two daughters and a son-in-law, Pam Schreiber of Atlanta, Ga., and Wanda and Danny Phillips of Toccoa, five grandchildren, Joe Schreiber, Mitch and Shelly Phillips, Kaitlan and Dillon Long, Kaden Canady, and Kyle Canady, four great grandchildren, Tyson Phillips, Baylie Phillips, Rylee Long, and Rhyott Long, a brother, Daniel Kellar of Toccoa, two sisters, Bernice Imogene Craig and Anna Louella Kellar both of Toccoa, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at New Hope Baptist Church with The Reverend Jewell Gaines and The Reverend Rob Hardy officiating.
The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers and will please need to assemble at the funreal home by 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday: Jeff Goolsby, Kyle Canady, Kaden Canady, Joe Schreiber, John Ottaway, and Donnie Ivester.
The family will be at the home of Mr. Tim Canady, 6526 Hwy. 320 in Toccoa and will receive friends Monday from 2 until 4 and from 6 until 8 pm at The Acree-Davis Funeral Home.
