Jo Anne Koenig

Mrs. Jo Anne Koenig, age 78, of Buford passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at her residence, surrounded by her family.

A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 9, 2017 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with inurnment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Father Jack Durkin will officiate.  The family will receive friends 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 9, 2017 at the church.

Mrs. Koenig was born April 26, 1939 to the late Paul Phebus & Betty Ruth Jackson in Terre Haute, Indiana.  She attended Indiana State University and was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, the Jaycees and the Women’s Transportation Club.  Mrs. Koenig enjoyed playing tennis and cards and working with ceramics.

Mrs. Koenig is survived by her husband, David Koenig of Buford; daughter & son-in-law, Rebecca & Shawn Mitchell of Flowery Branch; daughter, Kara Lee Coggins of Evans; son, David Koenig, Jr. of Atlanta; grandchildren, Caitlin & Patrick Mitchell and Meghan & Mackenzie Coggins; and sister & brother-in-law, Mary Beth & Dr. David Cox of Marshall, Illinois.
