Barbara Morrison Moore

Barbara Morrison Moore, age 86, of Clarkesville, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at her residence.

Mrs. Moore was born on August 22, 1931, in Jackson, Louisiana; a daughter of the late Levi and Sallie Morrison. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, John Edward Moore; son, David Paul Moore; and ten siblings. Mrs. Moore traveled this country as a pastor’s wife and traveled the world as a military wife and mother. Barbara was a member of Clarkesville Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law: John E. and Patti Moore of Snellville, Jim E. and Pat Moore of Dalton, and Michael V. and Audrey Moore of Flowery Branch; brothers, Ralph Morrison of Westlake, LA and Don Morrison of Cartridge, TX; grandchildren and spouses: Jason E. and Kim Moore, Wes and Amanda Snyder, Michelle Moore and Christopher Pou, Sarah Moore, and Timothy Moore; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 pm on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia, with Rev. Grady Walden officiating. A private family committal will be held in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1-2:45 pm on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, prior to the service at the funeral home.
