Barbara Jean Bryant

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday October 6, 2017 at Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel for Barbara Jean Bryant age 83 of
Gainesville. The Rev. David Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Mercy Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive
friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Bryant passed away Tuesday October
3, 2017.

Mrs. Byrant was born in Gainesville to the late Henry Peek and Cynthia Stover Peck. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Artis Bryant and Herman Fortner, daughter, Sue Stancil, sons, Dennis Fortner, David Fortner and sister, Irene Beck.

Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Diane and Ray Davis, Jefferson, Judy Rouse, Jefferson, Debra Hall, Gainesville, brothers,
Ralph Peek, Gainesville, James Peek, Commerce, 13 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
