   Jan passed away Saturday eve from pancreatic cancer surrounded by her family.    

She was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa. graduating from Langley High School in 1951.

Jan married her high school sweetheart Nov 1, 1953. She moved to Topeka, Kansas where her husband was stationed at Forbes AFB. After the Air Force, she moved to Miami to be close to family. Then she moved to West Palm Beach and Gainesville, Florida where she earned her PHT degree at the University of Florida. After a brief return to West Palm Beach, a corporate transfer to Connecticut, she returned to the University where she became Administrative Assistant in the Agriculture Department. Relocated again to Miami where she was the Administrative Assistant to the President of Miami Dade Junior College. In 1974 she moved to Atlanta and went to work for, and retired from, IBM, as an Administrator Manager. After retirement in 1996 she moved to Flowery Branch. For 20 years she volunteered at the Northeast GA Medical Center as a information at the North Tower winning Volunteer of the Year in 2015.  She also was very active in her church.

 Jan is survived by Ralph her husband of 64 years, her son, Ralph, daughter-in-law, Eileen, both from Marietta, daughter Lisa Wilkins, son-in-law, Woody, both from Flowery Branch, four grandchildren, Ryan of Savannah, Brad of Saint Augustine, Josh Wilkins of Flowery Branch, Alexandra Wilkins of Atlanta, and a great granddaughter, Reagan Evans of Savannah.  

A celebration of Life service will be held at Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church (CMPC) at 11:00 Saturday, October 7 at 4675 Winder Hwy, Route 53, Flowery Branch, GA.

A reception will be held following the service, all are invited. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the CMPC directed to the Covenant Life Center of the church.
