Randy Bennington

Randy Bennington, 69, of Dahlonega passed away Saturday September 30, 2017 at his residence following an extended illness.

Born July 22, 1948 in Sprague, West Virginia to the late Cecil and Thelma Bennington, he had lived in Lumpkin County for the past 15 years having moved from Cumming.  Mr. Bennington was employed by the LoJack Corporation and was a U. S. Air Force Veteran of Viet Nam.  Randy loved his Lord and Savior and was very devoted to his family.  He served as an Elder at Chestatee Worship Center.

Surviving are his wife, Judy Bennington, Dahlonega; son and daughter in law, Jake and Mary Bennington, North East, MD; daughter and son in law, Casey and Zack Mothena, St. Mary’s, GA; grandson, Colton Mothena; brothers and sisters in law, Jerry and Kay Bennington, Don and G. G. Bennington, both of Florida.

A celebration of Randy’s life will be held Friday October 6, 2017 at 4 o’clock at Chestatee Worship Center.  Pastor Ricky Stepp and Sammy Harben will officiate.

The family will receive friends at Chestatee Worship Center on Friday from 2 until 4.
