Sarah Elizabeth Baker

Sarah Elizabeth Baker, 98, of Gainesville, GA. passed away Friday, September 29, 2017 at her residence.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 2, 2017 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Drewery Loggins will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Born on June 10, 1919 in Clermont, GA she was the daughter of the late Dreward and Bertha Tims Dowdy.  She was retired from the US Forestry Service where she was a secretary. She was a member of Mt. Salem Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baker is preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Baker.

Mrs. Baker is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Stanley Baker (Margaret Juanita), William Philip Baker (Diane W.) both of Gainesville; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 brothers; 1 sister and a number of nieces and nephews.
