Barbara Jo Duvall

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Barbara Jo Duvall, 82, who passed away Friday, September 29, 2017.  Mrs. Duvall was born in Atlanta, GA, the daughter of the late Milton and Doris Swann and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jefferson.  Mrs. Duvall graduated from Tucker High School in 1953 where she was voted most likely to succeed.  Mrs. Duvall was a successful businesswoman with a career in accounting and business administration.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She was very involved in her church and the community.

     Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at the First Baptist Church of Jefferson,  246 Washington Street, Jefferson, Georgia 30549 with Dr. Michael Helms officiating. The Samaritan Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.  Burial will follow at 2:30 PM in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens, 3000 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA  30084 with Mrs. Duvall’s Grandsons honored as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home.

     Mrs. Duvall is preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Doris Swann, her brothers William Marion Swann and Jerry Milton Swann, and her beloved son Michael Vernon Duvall.

     Mrs. Duvall is survived by her husband Vernon Cleo Duvall, her daughters Valorie Jean Rolader and husband John Steven Rolader, and Laura Dale Graham and husband David Wesley Graham, and daughter-in-law Cynthia Lynn Duvall, and sisters Sandra Lee Stanaland and Carol Ann Walker and husband Buddy Walker, and sisters in law Judy B. Swann and Judy J. Swann, and grandchildren John Vernon Rolader, Jeffrey Scott Rolader, Danielle Duvall Smith, Dustin Michael Duvall, Patrick Neil Graham, and James Andrew Graham, and great grandchildren, Skylar Kitchen, Cameron Steven Rolader and Ethan Clay Rolader.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jefferson First Baptist Church, P.O.Box 395, Jefferson, GA 30549.
