Joye is survived by her 3 daughters, Mandy Nicholls (Dan), Melissa Scroggins (Boone) and Eve Saxon (Chris) and her 3 grandchildren, Grant and Kelsey Nicholls and Tori Scroggins. Surviving in addition are sisters-in-law, Louise McCutcheon and Jackie Jones and brother-in-law Homer Jones.
The girls would like to extend their heartfelt love and gratitude to her friends that were like family at St. Paul UMC, where she enjoyed FLOW, Sunday School and Disciple Bible Study. They are also thankful for Shelby Publishing and the way they loved and supported Joye during her employment of 27 years. They would like to recognize Dr. Sean Sumner for his impeccable care and his daily calls during her many hospital stays and to Dr. Andre Kallab and Dr. Ken Dixon for their dedication in the treatment of her cancer.
Services will be held at St. Paul UMC on Sunday October 8, 2017. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm and the Celebration of Life service at 2:00 pm, conducted by Reverend Geoff Grubbs. Family graveside service will be held in South Carolina.
Flowers are welcomed, but those who wish to make a memorial may do so in Joye’s name to St. Paul UMC.
