Carantha Sample Sanders

Mrs. Carantha Samples Sanders, age 78, of Auburn, GA passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, Leon J. Sanders; parents, Benoy and Mollie Samples; and seven brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Jackie Harness, Auburn, GA, Deliah Sanders, Auburn, GA and Ceresa Massie, Auburn, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Rickey James and Barbara Sanders, Buford, GA; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; nine great great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Clinton Green, Norcross, GA; sister-in-law, Carol Samples, Buford, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Brenda Samples, Buford, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Sanders was born April 23, 1939 in Cumming, GA. She was a homemaker and co-owner of Sanders Lawn Care. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Flowery Branch, GA.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Shadburn and Rev. Joel Shadburn officiating. Interment will follow at Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday, September 25, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
