Jacob Benjamin Hammond

Jacob Benjamin Hammond, 21 of Gainesville, GA passed away on Thursday September 21, 2017.

He was born on January 1, 1996 in Gainesville, GA the son of Bart and Lynn Croft Hammond who both survive him.

Jacob served the Sandy Springs Fire Department with honorable service for 2 and a half years and will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched there.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Linda Ledbetter, Sheryl Croft and Allen and Bettina Hammond.  Additionally, he is survived by his sisters Brittanee Hammond, Bethany Hammond and Lillee Hammond as well as his niece Lauren Melton and nephew Carson Couch.

The family will receive friends on Saturday September 23, 2017 from 5pm to 9pm and again on Sunday September 24, 2017 from 12pm to 8pm at the McDonald and Son Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday September 25, 2017 at 12pm at First Baptist Church, Sawnee Drive, Cumming, GA.  Interment will follow at Coal Mountain Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Sandy Springs Police Department Benevolent Fund.
