John “Herman” Kesler

Mr. John “Herman” Kesler, age 85, of Nicholson, GA died Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Kesler was born in Hull to the late John H. and Nellie Irene Smith Kesler.  He was a member of Community Chapel and a veteran of the United States Army.  Mr. Kesler was retired from the Jackson County School System.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Kesler was preceded in death by his son, Stanley Kesler.

Mr. Kesler is survived by his wife, Constance Delores “Connie” Kellum Kesler of Nicholson; sons, Bruce Kesler (Deborah) of Commerce and David Kesler (Barbara) of Hollywood; daughters, Theresa Pruitt (Randall) of Jefferson and Becky Horton (Jim) of Commerce; grandchildren, Casey, Susan, Derek, Kimberly, Israel, Nikki, Stefanie, Todd, Josh, Robin, Crystal, John, Mark, Crystal, Nan and J; and great-grandchildren, Lexie, Katie, Ciera, Alan, Garrett, Havannah, Haze, Reese, Tyler, Dakota, Haley, Kristin, Austin and Merrick.

Funeral services will be at 3 PM, Sunday, September 24 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Roland Arrowood and Rev. Vernon Wilson officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday night from 6 to 8 PM.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Georgia, 2859 Paces Ferry Road SE, Suite 725, Atlanta, GA 30339.
