Glenda Elizabeth Edge Green, 63, of Gainesville, passed away Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Northeast Georgia Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Born June 7, 1954 in Gainesville, Georgia, she was the daughter of Frazier and Margie Lunsford Edge, growing up in her beloved New Holland community.
Glenda always lived in and truly loved Gainesville as her lifetime hometown. In addition to being the sweetest person that ever lived, Glenda enjoyed a career in the local insurance field for many years. She made lifetime friends in this industry as she did in real estate when she changed careers in 2005. Most recently, she was with the Berkshire Hathaway real estate organization. She was a member of the Free Chapel Gainesville, Georgia location.
Surviving are her husband Bryant Green, Gainesville; sons and daughter in law Andy and Carrie Clark, Maysville; Clay Dover, Gainesville; Grandchildren Drew Clark, Ally Clark, Evan Clark, Sam Dover, Sebastian Dover, and Ava Dover; Sisters Elaine (Rick) Gerace; Brothers Tommy Edge, Tim (Becki) Edge.
Glenda’s extended family includes stepsons Bryant Green III (Leslie), Philip Green (Laura), Chase Green; step grandchildren Meghan Green, Bella Green, Jacqueline Green, Elizabeth Green, Abby Green, and Caroline Green; Pet rabbit Scooter.
Glenda's viewing will be on Wednesday, September 20 from 4pm-7pm at Little and Davenport Funeral Home, 355 Dawsonville Hwy SW Gainesville, GA 30501. Her funeral service will be held at 11 am Thursday September 21, 2017 in the chapel of Little and Davenport Funeral Home. Sister Katie Franklin will officiate. Interment will follow at 2:30 pm in Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs, GA.
