Mr. Charles “Chuck” James Harms Jr., age 64, of Dahlonega, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017.
Mr. Harms was born on December 31, 1952 in Perry, GA. He was preceded in death by his father Charles James Harms Sr. Mr. Harms was veteran serving in the United States Navy. He was a lover of nature and known for his kind heart. Mr. Harms deeply loved and cared for his family. He was a master craftsman and talented furniture maker. Mr. Harms loved panning for gold and the gold mining history of Lumpkin County.
Survivors include his sons, Charles James Harms III and Jamie Harms, both of Chicago; mother, Frances Harms, Dahlonega; sister, Frances Jaudon, Dahlonega; nephew, Eddie Wimberly, Macon and great nieces, Megan Wimberly and Katie Wimberly both of Macon.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Friday, September 22, 2017 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:30 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
