Civil Engineer, Loving Husband, Great Dad, Harry "Pete" Jones, began his journey to be with The Lord on Saturday, September 16, 2017. He leaves behind his loving wife of sixty-seven years, Virginia, and his two sons Ridley "Rip" and Mark. In addition, he leaves behind his two grandchildren, who he loved so very much, Jason and Rachel. Also, he leaves behind his sister in California, Jacque Tatum. His nieces and nephews will all miss their "Uncle Pete". Blazing the trail before him, are of course his parents, but also three brothers, Buster, Bill, and Robert. He enjoyed a full life, and was respected and admired by many. His military service in WWII was with the Navy, in a munitions plant in up-state New York. He proudly served for several years in the local Veterans Alliance group, providing Military Funeral services for area Veteran's families in their time of need.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 22, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Kenley officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home the hour prior to the service.
