Wayne L. Vaughn

Wayne L. Vaughn, 76, of Maysville, GA passed away September 15, 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home. The Reverend Dave Channell will officiate. Interment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Duluth, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Born on November 24, 1940 in Cartersville, GA he was the son of the late Herman Lesley and Gladys Wilbanks Vaughn.  Mr. Vaughn was a police officer for the City of Atlanta, Fulton County and for Alpharetta for 17 years. He worked at Lockheed –Martin for 20 years, a fireman for the City of Atlanta and served in the Navy for two years. Mr. Vaughn was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Vaughn is survived by his son, Timothy Wayne Vaughn of Maysville; daughter, Sheree Frederick of Carnesville; grandchildren, Jacob Frederick and Amy Frederick.

Memorial Park South Funeral Home, 4121 Falcon Parkway, Flowery Branch, Georgia  30542 is in charge of arrangements.
