James Perry McKinney, 89, of Gainesville, passed away Saturday September 16, 2017 at his residence.
Born October 15, 1927 in Clermont Georgia, he was the son of the late Perry and Rilla McKinney
He was retired from Chicopee Mill. He loved to garden and farm. He was married to his wife Betty McKinney over 57 years and deeply loved his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren. He cared for and welcomed everyone and anyone that was dear to him.
In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his wife Betty McKinney, daughter, Karen Ingram and son, Richard McKinney.
Family members he is survived by include sister; Mildred Hardy, daughters, Tommie Smith, Sharon Stewart, son; John Ingram, son- in- laws Danny Smith and Robby Stewart, daughter- in- law Yvonne Ingram, numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren whom he loved unconditionally.
Visitation will be Monday September 18, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 2:00 p.m., September 19, 2017 in the funeral home chapel.
