Kathy King Franklin

Mrs. Kathy King Franklin, age 65 of Julia Lane, Toccoa entered into rest together with her daughter on September 9, 2017 as the result of an automobile accident.

A daughter of the late Harold F. and Troy English King, she was born September 29, 1951 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life.  She was retired as a Social Worker with Head Start and later employed with Toccoa First Baptist Pre-School for a number of years.  She was of the Baptist faith.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Iris Holbrooks.

Survivors include two sisters, Shirley Thompson and Vicky King both of Toccoa; nephew, Brad Holbrooks; nieces, Lisa Brown and Tommie Ann Jewell; a number of cousins.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 16, 2017, 2 O’clock P.M. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Craig Brown officiating. 

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday, 6 P.M until 8 P.M.  Online condolences can be made at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Toccoa City Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Kathy King Franklin.
