Mary Ruth Queen, 79, of Gainesville Georgia passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 at her residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Randall Reed officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Born on November 11, 1937, in Cleveland, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Herschel and Clara Howard Pardue. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Oakwood.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Queen is preceded in death by husband, Melvin Queen, several brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Queen is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Regina Bryant (Larry) of Flowery Branch, Linda Andrews (Terry) of Massillon, Ohio, Melanie Sisson (Jonathan) of Gainesville; sons and daughters in law, James Queen (Melisa) Cornelia; Michael Queen (Lynn) of Gainesville; sons, Anthony Queen, Jamey Queen; grandchildren, Dan Chafin, Tasha Cirincione, Keena Queen, Leah Queen, Georgianne Harrison, Colby Oliver, Carter Oliver; great grandchildren, Sophia Cirincione, Vincent Cirincione, Koen Tatum and other relatives and friends.
