Janice Anderson Greenway

Janice Anderson Greenway, age 68 of Gainesville, passed away suddenly at her residence on Thursday, September 7, 2017.

Mawmart, as she was affectionately known, loved and was loved by everyone she knew. She was the woman described in Proverbs 31. Selfless, caring and giving are used when describing Janice. Her home was always open to anyone and she loved nothing more than having her family together for meals.

Janice retired from K-Mart Corporation after 20 years of service. She worked several years in the Garden Shop, which was the perfect job for her.

She was preceded in death by her mother Lillie Fair Anderson; brothers H.D. Anderson, Buford Anderson, Allen Anderson, Curtis Anderson and Dennis Anderson; her twin sister Joyce Anderson; her beloved sister Ellen Ledford.

Survivors include her husband R.C. Greenway; children Patrick and Renee Wiley; Gary and Carmen Greenway; grandchildren Jordan, Amber, and Clay Wiley and Bella and Aiden Greenway; sister Fay Buffington; brother-in-law Ned Ledford; brother-in-law Terry Greenway; sister-in-law and her husband Reba and Bobby Ledford.

The family will accept flowers, but those wishing to do so may make contributions to their favorite charity in honor of Janice.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel. Rev. Stanley Mize will be officiating. Interment will follow at Alta Vista Cemetery.
