Alexander Funeral Home announces that Mary Ann Kanady, age 76 of Cleveland, Georgia passed away on September 6, 2017.
Mary was born on June 9, 1941 to the late Stephen Stefunick and the late Betty Cooper in Detroit, Michigan. In 1985 she moved to Cleveland, Georgia where she would be laid to rest beside her loving husband, Charles E Kanady Sr., 32 years later.
Mrs. Kanady was a member of the Red Hat Society for many years and was always know as a hard working woman. Her work ethics were very noticeable, especially to her employer of 31 years, Wal-Mart. If you have ever held a yard sale in North Georgia, You have probably met Mary considering this was her favorite past time.
In addition to her parents, Mary is proceeded in death by her husband, Charles E. Kanady Sr., of Cleveland; Daughter, Kandy Malone, and a step daughter, Michele Kanady.
She is survived by her brother, Steven Steffunick of Cleveland. Sons; Terry Malone, Cleveland; Skip Moyer, Cleveland; Chris and Beth Kanady, Watkinsville. Daughters; Sherry Kuzee, Cleveland; Kelly and Marsha Moyer of Lansing, Michigan; Maranda and Jamie Lee, Cleveland. Stepchildren; JR. and Rachel Kanady; Donna and Clay Rogers; Harriet and Roger Truelove; Tina Kanady; Abby and Kevin Dale. She is also Survived by numerous Grand and Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mary will be held on September 8, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. at the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. View Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 7 from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M.
