Robert L. Turner

Robert L. Turner, age 86, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017. He was preceded in death by his son, Steve Dwayne Turner. He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Era Roebuck Turner, Flowery Branch, GA; children, Vickie and Philip Lindsey, Gainesville, GA, Daniel L. Turner, Buford, GA, Katie Fulcher, Loganville, GA, Rita and Kevin Baird, Braselton, GA, and Travis Turner, Auburn, GA; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; brother, Larry and Ruth Turner, Young Harris, GA; sister-in-law, Sandra and Bryant Day, Granite Falls, NC; brother-in-law, Buddy and Lavene Roebuck, Buford, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Turner was born July 12, 1931 in Jasper, GA. He was retired from Owens of GA Steel Industry after twenty-seven years of service. He was a member of Peoples Baptist Church in Flowery Branch, GA.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Peoples Baptist Church, 6182 McEver Road, Flowery Branch, GA 30542 with Rev. Chris Husley officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford, GA.
