Aline Stephens, 84, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday September 3, 2017 at her residence following a period of declining health.
Born November 17, 1932 to the late Farris and Annie Mae Ledbetter, she lived most of her life in Dawson County. A homemaker at her death, she was formerly employed at Sweet-Orr after which she worked with her husband at S & H Sales. Aline devoted much of her life to caring for her family. A member of Amicalola Baptist Church, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Stephens; daughters, Gayle Beebe, Janice Harben; grandson, Jason Harben; sister, Wynell (Toy) Chumley; brothers, Hubert (Marcelle) Ledbetter, G. W. Ledbetter, and James Ledbetter.
Surviving are her daughters and son in law, Debbie Rowell, Dawsonville, Sherri and Bob Kelly, Dacula; granddaughter, Erin Kelly; son in law, Danny Harben, Dawsonville; sister and brother in law, Eulalie and Johnny Philyaw, Dawsonville; brother and sisters in law, Loy and Delores Ledbetter, Dawsonville, Yvonne Ledbetter, Dawsonville, Lois Ledbetter, Jasper; granddaughter in law, Jenaline Butterworth; devoted friends and caregivers, Weba Loggins and her family; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday September 5, 2017 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tom Stradley will officiate. Interment will follow in the Amicalola Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
