Ronald Nelson Ervin

Mr. Ronald Nelson Ervin age 79 of Lula (Gillsville Community) passed away Sunday Sept. 3, 2017 at his residence.
 
Mr. Ervin was born June 3, 1938 in Maysville to the late George & Kathline McCoy Ervin. He served his Country in the United States Army in the Berlin Crisis. He was retired from General Motors Company and was a member of Gillsville Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife JoAnn Ervin, son, Phillip James Ervin, brother, Tony Ervin, and a sister Betty Brock.
 
Survivors include, wife, Ruth reed Ervin of Lula, son, Michael Aubrey Ervin of Commerce, brother, Johnny Ervin of Gillsville, sisters, Janice Rhodes of Nicholson, Ann Hill of Martin, Melissa Gowder of Maysville, 2 grandchildren,  3 great grandchildren & a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
 
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday September 6, 2017 at the Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with Grandson Cody Harris & Rev. Shannon Rhodes officiating. Interment will be in Jackson Memorial Gardens.
 
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday Sept. 5, 2017 at the funeral home.
