Harold Gravitt

Harold Gravitt, age 73, of Dawsonville, GA, formerly of Cumming, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017. Harold was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cumming, GA.  He was a loving Husband, Daddy and Papa. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alborn and Vonceil Gravitt; brothers, James and Ronnie Gravitt; sister, Lena Anderson; brothers-in-law, Billy Cowart, Len Moore and Preston Worley.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Linda Cowart Gravitt; daughters, Michele Nix and Melanie Gravitt; grandchildren, Emily Nix, Ethan Nix and girlfriend Hannah Eaton, Molly and Justin (“JJ”) Johnson, and Morgan Gravitt; great grandchildren, Nathan and Weston Gaboury; sisters, Patsy Worley, Carolyn Moore, Susie Gravitt and Joyce Gravitt; sisters-in-law, Doris Gravitt, Linda Gravitt and Doris Cowart; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Gravitt will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Nicky Gravitt, Rev. Dexter Gravitt and Rev. Harold Bottoms officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 1, from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
