Betty Ann Foster Martin, age 67, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 27, 2017.
Betty was born in Hazlehurst, Mississippi. She moved to Georgia in 1968 and started her family. She raised her family living around Metro Atlanta, but always loved the mountains of North Georgia. She made Gainesville her home for the past ten years. Her southern roots were undeniable in her delicious cooking, which was enjoyed by all. Her artistic creativity was expressed by her handmade crafts. She enjoyed exploring Flea Markets to dig up a good bargain. Her love and support never wavered for her three children in their endeavors as they grew. She had a great love for animals, and rescued many pets from shelters giving them a forever home.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Lavelle Foster.
She is survived by her spouse, John Martin, and their three loving children. Her oldest son, Michael Martin, and his spouse Alicia, along with their children Joseph (Jo Jo), and Madison. Younger son, and middle child, Bryan Martin, and his spouse, Dawn, along with their children Rebekah and Seth. Youngest child, Theresa Bouton, and her spouse Tony, along with their son, Cooper. Betty has two surviving younger brothers, John Foster and Larry Foster, along with their families.
