Richard B. Ogle, Sr

Mr. Richard B. Ogle, Sr., age 69, of Gainesville passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 at his residence, following an extended illness, surrounded by his family.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 29, 2017 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Rev. Bart McMillan will officiate.  The family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Ogle was born March 6, 1948 to the late Virgil & Evelene Ogle in Fort Payne, Alabama.   He was retired from Gay Construction, where he was a Carpenter Foreman for 18 years and was of the Baptist Faith.

Mr. Ogle is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda West-Ogle of Gainesville; son, Richard Ogle, Jr. of East Chicago, Indiana; step-son & daughter-in-law, David & Jessica West of Adairsville; grandchildren, Allyson Ogle, Giana West, Brooklyn West, Alex West and Ava West; brothers, Wayne Ogle of Clermont, Florida and Clarence Ogle of Tennessee; mother-in-law, Bobbie Pass of Gainesville; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Wayne & Becky Pass of Gainesville; and several nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Annie Oliveira; parents; brothers, Larry Ogle and David Ogle; sister, Helen Norsworthy; and step-father, George Langston.
