Lillian Virginia Watts Coffey

Lillian Virginia Watts Coffey, 95, of Hoschton passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, August 28, 2017 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in Chattahoochee Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:30 p.m. until the service hour.

Born on December 10, 1921 in Andrews, NC she was the daughter of the late Joseph T and Ethel Palmer Watts. Mrs. Coffey was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother who was a very good cook. She loved to quilt and take care of her family.  She also took care of the nursery at Chattahoochee Baptist Church where she attended for many years.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Coffey is preceded in death by her husband, James Coffey; sons, Raymond Coffey, Gerald Coffey, Edwin Coffey; brothers, Vinson Watts, Fred Watts; sisters, Marie Mintz, Janice Mintz and Lucille Watts.

Mrs. Coffey is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Reed (Gilbert) of Braselton; son, David Coffey, Sr. (Margaret); son, Roy Coffey, Sr. (Dorothy); daughter, Sandra Vickers, (David) all of Flowery Branch; son, Clarence Coffey of Hoschton; son, Keith Coffey (Pam) of Hall County; son, Phillip Coffey (Melinda) of Flowery Branch; daughter, Sabrina Palmer of Clarkesville; daughter in law, Laurie Coffey; sister, Winnie Lee Moss (Everett) of Hayesville, NC; sisters in law, Josephine Preston, Lenora Garren, Dorothy Mae Riggins; brother in law, Kenneth Coffey (Virginia); 23 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and many other relatives.
