Mary Loyce Cape, age 82, of Cumming, GA, passed away Friday, August 25, 2017. Mary Loyce was a member and Sunday School Teacher at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. She was a bus driver in Forsyth and Lumpkin County for many years. While working for Lumpkin County, she also worked as a paraprofessional for children with special needs. Mary Loyce is preceded in death by her loving husband, Thad Cape; parents, J.C. and Martha Sewell; and brother, Harold Sewell.
She is survived by her children, Rhonda Cape, Deryl (Donna) Cape, and Denise (Chris) Wheeler; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles (Loretta) Sewell, and Jackie (Jessie) Sewell; sisters-in-law, Sharron Sewell and Lottie Sewell; grandchildren, Melody (Quincy) Whiten, Andrew Cape, and Cayla Wheeler; great grandchildren, Harmony Pribble and McKenzie Whiten; along with many other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cape will be held Monday, August 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Cumming, Ga, with Rev. Clyde Boling, Rev. Randy Richards and Rev. Jamie Sanford will be officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, August 26, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
