Mr. Paul M. “Bud” Pugh, age 88, of Suwanee, GA passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy “Dot” Brogdon Pugh; infant daughter, Cheryl Ann; grandson, Cody Mattox; parents, William Wesley and Eunice Fuller Pugh; stepmother, Lola Vann Pugh; brothers, Douglas Pugh, Richard Pugh; and sister, Opal Pugh Martinez. He is survived by his children, David and Lisa Pugh, Runnette Pugh Maddox and husband, Steve Butler, Donald and Sheila Pugh, Ronald and Dawn Pugh, Bobby and Genny Lancaster; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Pugh, Lawrenceville, GA; niece, Mary Helen and Doug Williams; nephew, Tony Martinez; several cousins and a host of friends. Mr. Pugh was born July 14, 1929 in Buford, GA and was a lifelong residence of Gwinnett County. He was a 1947 graduate of Buford High School and served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War for two years. Mr. Pugh was a retired truck driver from Petrolane Gas Company in Sugar Hill, and also from David Howington Grading in Buford. He was a member of Sugar Hill First Baptist Church since 1955. Mr. Pugh looked forward to the Pugh Reunion on the first Sunday of September each year with family and a host of friends attending. It was a special day for him and his siblings, a good time was enjoyed by all. He loved his family and will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Neal Strong officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA with Rev. Chuck Allen officiating and military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
