Grady was preceded in death by his parents, C.C. and Effie Corn Walls of Silver City, Ga. Grady was the 2nd oldest in a family of nine children. Grady's love of Evelyn and family are what have kept him going these 90 years. He was also preceded in death by his brothers; Glyndon, Rupert, Luke, Edmond ('Doodle"), Harley and Charles.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Grogan Walls; children and their families, Chuck and Debbie Walls; Karen and David Baston, all of Gainesville; grandchildren, Charlie and Sara Walls, Nashville, TN, Elyse and Blake Vandiver, Caroline and John Baston, all of Gainesville; great grandchildren, Evelyn Vandiver and Jane Vandiver, Gainesville; Charles Walls, Nashville, TN; sisters, Evelyn Pylant, Marietta; Pat (Norman) Miller, Cumming; and sister-in-law, Janice Walls, Cumming, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Grady was a long-time member of Lakewood Baptist Church where he faithfully attended until his health would no longer allow. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners.
Private Graveside Services will be held Saturday August 26, 2017 at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. Tom Smiley and Rev. Don Ormsbee will officiate. The family will receive friends after the service at Lakewood Baptist from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
