Virginia Shealy, 55, of Dawsonville passed away Monday August 21, 2017 following a period of declining health.
Born September 17, 1961, she was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Along with her husband, they formerly owned and operated V&S Lawncare. Virginia possessed a great love for her horses and all animals. She was a breeder or Yorkshire Terriers and placed them with deserving families. Virginia would open her home and care for those less fortunate. She was a member of McKee’s Chapel United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Samples.
Surviving are her husband of 30 years, Stephen Shealy, Dawsonville; sons and daughter in law, Nathan Purdy, Dawsonville, Patrick Shealy and Brittany Wallace, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Skylar Shealy, Charles Shealy; father, Ralph Samples, Dawsonville; sisters and brother in law, Mary Samples Clayton, Douglasville, Margaret and Larry Kollar, Dawsonville; brother and sister in law, Ray and Jammye Samples, Dawsonville; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday August 26, 2017 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Sven Mossinger will officiate. Interment will follow in the McKee’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
