Mrs. Louise Davis, age 73, of Dahlonega, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Davis was born in Union County on July 25, 1944 to the late Newt and Amanda Josephine Thompson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson, Anthony Paul Davis; sisters, Evelyn Ethridge, Joyce Bunker and Edith Tolbert Little. Mrs. Davis was a lifetime resident of Lumpkin County. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, of 56 years, J.B. Davis, Dahlonega; son and daughter in law, Edward and Tammy Davis, Cleveland; son and girlfriend, Anthony Davis and June Messer, Gainesville; daughter and son in law, Lynn and Danny Garner, Dahlonega; brothers, Stanley Murphy; Leonard Thompson, both of Dahlonega; sister, Ida Murphy Christian, Murrayville; sisters and brothers in law, Ellen and Benny Smallwood; Linda and Clifton Chamblee, both of Dahlonega; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 A.M. Monday, August 21, 2017 at Banister Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Pierce Ashmore will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4-9 P.M. Sunday, August 20, 2017. Mrs. Davis’ wishes were to be cremated after the service.
