Fannie Belle Shetters Swaim

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Fannie Belle Shetters Swaim, age 81, of Gainesville, Georgia, who passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017. Mrs. Swaim was born in Sherwood, Tennessee, a daughter to the late Elijah and Nancy Simmons Shetters. Mrs. Swaim was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Jefferson and was a Missionary with Baptist International Missions Incorporated.

Survivors include children, Jeffrey Swaim and his wife Becky of Flowery Branch, Kenneth Swaim of Comer, Sylvia Vance and her husband Richard of Jefferson, Michele Schmeltz and her husband Greg of Oakwood and Michael Swaim and his wife Jenn of Gainesville. Sisters; Mary Johnson of Tennessee, Georgie Maxwell of North Carolina, Nan Hill of Tennessee, and Jean Taylor of Alabama.  One brother, Mike Shetters of Florida.  Thirteen grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 17, 2017 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Fred Kindhart officiating.  Burial will follow at 12:00  Noon EST  Friday, August 18, 2017 in the Cowan Montgomery Cemetery in Cowan, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends 4 – 8 P.M.  Wednesday August 16, 2017 at the funeral home.
