Wynell Williamson

Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 16, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Ward’s Funeral Home for Wynell Williamson,102, of Lula. 
The Rev.  John Cox will officiate. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00 p.m.  to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Williamson passed away August 13, 2017. 

A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Williamson was the daughter of the  late Luther and Emma (Kelley) McGinnis. She was a homemaker and was 
also a caregiver to children. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Williamson; sons, Howard Williamson, MacArthur Williamson and Horace Williamson; granddaughter, 
Tasha Michelle Williamson; grandson, Johnny Martin; great granddaughter, Judy Lynn Grigg; brothers, J.W. McGinnis, Hoyt McGinnis and George McGinnis; sisters, Mae Adams and Willene Evans. 

Survivors include daughter, Hazel Martin, Lula; son and daughter in law, Hank and Becky Williamson, Jefferson; granddaughters, Judy Smith, Lula, Kelley and Chip Brown, Sparta, Terri Kidd, Gainesville, Tammy Williamson, Gainesville and Tabatha Anderson, Gainesville; grandson, Timothy Williamson, Gainesville; great grandchildren, Jennifer and Jim Frazier, Lula, Justin and Haley Smith, Lula, Austin Brown, Lane Brown and Bethany Teal all of Sparta; 7 additional great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and their children.
