Elizabeth Henderson

Elizabeth Henderson, age 95, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.   

Mrs. Henderson was born in Atlanta to the late William Wilson and Emma Simmons Wilson.  She was a dedicated homemaker and devoted member of Amy’s Creek Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William Henderson; and daughter, Elizabeth Janie Hamilton. 

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Kenneth and Cindy Burton of Clarkesville; son in law, Odell Hamilton of Clarkesville; five grandchildren, Nancy Underwood (Jeff) of Clarkesville, Dale Hamilton (Holly) of Clarkesville, Brandy Caudell (Randy) of Biloxi, Mississippi, Brent Burton of Clarkesville, and Justin Burton of Clarkesville; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and a number of nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 P.M. Saturday at Hillside. 

Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, August 13, 2017 from the Amy’s Creek Baptist Church.  Reverend Austin Kelley and Reverend Eddie Tanner will officiate.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Reverend Steve Merck officiating.
