LeeNora “Lee” Hicks Dacus

Mrs. LeeNora “Lee” Hicks Dacus, 90, of Dahlonega, Ga passed away August 7, 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m.  Friday, August 11, 2017 in the Memorial Park Chapel.  Rev. Donnie Hicks will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  

Born on March 2, 1927, she was the daughter the late Tom and Savannah Gibbs Hicks. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She loved caring for her home and family, playing guitar, singing and working word search books. Mrs. Dacus was of the Baptist faith. She was a very devout Christian and her greatest joy was leading others to Christ.

          In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dacus is preceded in death by 6 brother, 5 sisters and 2 sons, Donald Lee Dacus and David Leon Dacus.

          Mrs. Dacus is survived by her husband of 72 years, Robert Gordon Dacus of Dahlonega; son, Doyal (Jean) Dacus of Jasper; daughter, Sandra (Mike) Bone of Mableton; son, Travis Dacus of Lula; son, Ken (Peggy) Dacus of Lula; son, Mark Dacus of Dahlonega; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
