Richard Walter

Mr. Richard Walter, 68, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on August 7. 2017 at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, Georgia. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m.  Sunday, August 13, 2017 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Rev. Scott Waters will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on May 14, 1949 in Gainesville, GA, he was the son of the late Claude J and Ruby Era Patterson Walter. Mr. Walter was retired from the USDA where he was a Poultry Inspector. Mr. Walter was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Walter is preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Walter and grandparents, Emmie and Babe Patterson.

Mr. Walter is survived by his brother, Randall Walter; sisters, Darlene Hubbard (Robert), Barbara Kendall, Cheryl Beck; brothers, Chris Walter (Debbie), Noel Walter; sister, Tammy Walter all of Gainesville; nephews, Randall Walter, Jr., Michael and David Grizzle, Tyler and Josh Gillespie; niece Gracie Graham; nephew, Jason Pass; niece, Robin Reynolds and a number of other family members and relatives.
