James Marvin Thompson

James Marvin Thompson, age 52 of Oakwood, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

                Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Clark officiating, Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 2:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.

                Mr. Thompson was born April 6, 1965 in Gainesville, Georgia to Donald J. Thompson and the late Jeannette Vera Hayes. He was a member of Canaan Baptist Church.

                Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife, Lisa Thompson of Gainesville; father and step-mother, Donald J. and Betty Thompson of Interlachen, Florida; sister, Cheryl Murray of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Donald Lester Thompson and Gina Thompson of Cleveland; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Donna Thompson of Gainesville; sister, Lucille Hayes of Gainesville; niece, Kimberly Pillco of Lawrenceville; great nieces and great-nephew, Monica Morga, Brian Morga, Kaylynn Pillco, Neveah Kerce and Brianna Kerce.
