John Samuel Austin, age 81 of Royston, GA passed away Tuesday, August 01, 2017.
Born in Carnesville, GA on December 21, 1935, Mr. Austin was the son of the late Pelham and Rozelle Butler Austin. He was a retail sales clerk.
Survivors include sons, James Douglas Austin, Lexington, Mark Anthony Austin, Hartwell; daughter, Lisa Carole Meadows, Lexington; sister, Joyce Long, Jefferson; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, Aug. 04, 2017 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brent Lewis and Rev. Ben Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
