Barbara Allen Satterfield

Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 1, 2017 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Ward’s Funeral Home for Barbara Allen Satterfield, 89, of Gainesville. The Rev. Richard Long and Rev. Eric Lee will officiate. Interment will follow at South Bend United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Satterfield passed away July 30, 2017.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Satterfield was the daughter of the late Walt and Alma (Walker) Allen. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward “Ed” Satterfield.

Mrs. Satterfield was a member of South Bend United Methodist Church and retired from the Wm. Wrigley, Jr. Company.

Survivors include daughters and sons in laws, Patsy and Jimmy Lee, Martha and Randy DeLong; sons and daughters in laws, Larry and Pat Satterfield, Jeff and Vivian Satterfield; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Wilma Allen; sister in laws, Edith Hullender and Idell Satterfield; numerous nieces, nephews and her church family.

The family would like to thank the 4th floor nurses at Northeast Georgia Medical Center and Northeast Georgia Medical Center Hospice.
