Eric Grady Griffin

Eric Grady Griffin, 48, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 27, 2017. Eric was of the Methodist faith and a member of Creekside United Methodist Church in Cumming, GA.

Eric was born August 28, 1968 in Rocky Mount, NC, to Loretta and Grady Griffin. Eric was a graduate of Wake Forest University and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of American Legion Post 58, in Rocky Mount, NC and a longtime member of the NRA. He was employed with State Farm Insurance for 22 years. He loved sports and was an avid fantasy sports statistician. He loved listening to music and reading military intrigue novels.

Eric was preceded in death by one sister, Paula and one brother, Michael.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Myleana of Cumming, Ga; his parents Loretta and Grady Griffin of Rocky Mount, NC; one brother Kevin (Debbie) Griffin of Rocky Mount, NC; one sister Lori (Kevin) Clark, of Morganton, NC as well as several nieces and nephews and his special feline companions Cello and Rocky.

A celebration of life for Eric Grady Griffin will be conducted Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at Creekside United Methodist Church with Pastor Jason Danuser officiating.

A separate service will be held in his hometown of Rocky Mount, NC, at a later date to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to made to Wounded Warrior Project in honor of Eric Grady Griffin.
