James (Oopie) Warren Threlkeld

Mr. James (Oopie) Warren Threlkeld, 55, of Murrayville, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at his residence following an extended illness from Leukemia.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 2017 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Marty Dunkerly will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on November 10, 1961 in Gainesville, GA he was the son of the late Joseph Threlkeld and Mary Williams. He was a member of Set Free Church.

Mr. Threlkeld is survived by his wife, Sarah Chamblee Threlkeld of Murrayville; daughter and fiancé, Brandy Pittman and Michael Langefeld of Gainesville; 3 grandchildren, Adrianne, Alexis and Drake; sisters, Sheila Williams of Winder, Rebecca Merck of Gainesville, Debra Wimpy of Dawsonville; brothers, Bo Browning of Lula, Michael Morris of Maysville and a number of other relatives.
