Mrs. Norma Jean King Hawkins age 89 of Gainesville passed away on Tuesday July 25, 2017 at Lanier Village Estates following a prolonged illness.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday July 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Gainesville. Dr. Bill Coates and Reverend Bruce Fields will officiate. The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church Parlor following the Memorial Service on Saturday.
Mrs. Hawkins was born on May 22, 1928 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Leroy Richard King and Blanche Edna Watts King. She was retired and was a member of First Baptist Church of Gainesville. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Norma is survived by her husband of 64 years, Clint Hawkins of Gainesville, daughter and son-in-law, Carol Jean and Ed Foltz of Cumming, daughter and son-in-law, Janis and Carden Summers of Cordele, grand-children, Ben Norsworthy, Jason Norsworthy, Weston Summers and Jade Summers, sister, Ethyl Chambers of Indiana, great-grandchildren Michael Norsworthy and Elijah Norsworthy, and soon a Great Grand-daughter.
