Thomas “Tom” Edwin Moore, Jr

Mr. Thomas “Tom” Edwin Moore, Jr., age 85 of 207 Walnut Street, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Pruitt Health Toccoa.

A son of the late Thomas Edwin Moore, Sr. and Mary Dobbin Moore, he was born April 3, 1932 in Crossnore, North Carolina having lived most of his life in Toccoa.  He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, Korean War.  He was a retired Real Estate Salesman, a former Golf Pro at the Toccoa County Club and an avid fisherman.  He owned Anderson Investments investing in advertising, worked a number of years for Rabun County Golf Course, was an All-State Athlete in High School and was of the Episcopal faith.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Troup Moore in 2017. 

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Bruce Hulsman of Toccoa; three sons and daughter-in-law, David Moore of Toccoa, Kelly and Jeannie Moore of Sky Valley, Georgia and Tommy Roland of Atlanta; seven grandchildren, Lance Moore, Adam Hulsman, Aaron Hulsman, Autumn Cheek, Scott Cheek, Adam Roland and Holly Roland.; sister, Carolyn Brown of Gainesville, Georgia; brother-in-law, Bob Troup and his wife Betty of Toccoa; a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial graveside service will be Saturday, August 5, 2017, 11 O’clock in the Toccoa City Cemetery with Mr. Randy Speed officiating.
